Emmeline + Samuel's Wedding Day

Sam + Emmeline shared such a beautiful wedding day. I met Emmeline at the hotel she was staying at, where she was finishing up hair + make up at the time. She was accompanied by her sister and maid of honor and her mother. After she got dressed, I got a head start heading over to the venue. I had never been to Lake Windsor Country Club before their wedding day, and when I stepped into there reception area, it was completely set up already and absolutely breathtaking. The large floor to ceiling windows and gorgeous chandeliers are so stunning.

I found Sam in the getting ready room with his groomsmen. We stepped outside for a few portraits and to prepare for the first look with Emmeline. I had the second photographer assist in getting them set up, and it was such a great moment. We hopped around the greens to get couple portraits for a while before it was time for the tea ceremony to begin. After the tea ceremony, we did the family formals and started on the wedding party inside. It was a surprisingly chilly day for May!

Finally it was time for the wedding ceremony. It was officiated by Sam's sister, which was so special. Sam + Emmeline exchanged their custom vows and rings, and then shared their first kiss as a married couple. All of the guests blew bubbles for the recessional, and it made for a magical moment.

Everyone headed to cocktail hour, and before we knew it, it was time for the grand entrance. I love how they included their parents in this! The couple said their thank you's, and then we heard two lovely speeches. Sam + Emmeline exchanged cupcakes, and then got ready for their choreographed first dance. But first, Emmeline had to change into her red dress. The dance was absolutely fantastic. I could tell they really put a lot of work into it! After that, they played the shoe game, which was a fun way to learn a little more about Sam + Emmeline as a couple. After that, we snuck out for some evening portraits.

Emmeline + Samuel's wedding day was so laid back and fun. I'm so glad they chose me to capture it for them!
