A whimsical & intimate backyard wedding.

I met up with Cynthia and John on the morning of their wedding day. Cynthia was already started on getting her hair & make up done. While she finished up, I gathered some of their details and started photographing those. Her dress was absolutely stunning, adorned with colorful lace. Cynthia got into her dress, and it was clear to me that it was made for her. Next John got ready. I headed into the backyard to get ready for the ceremony to begin.

Family started to arrive and fill in. The musician, Misty Boyce, toured with the couple's favorite band, Lord Huron. As two avid concert goers, that set the perfect tone for there ceremony. Cynthia and John tearfully shared their loving vows to each other, and it was a joy to witness. After the ceremony, John arranged a bit of a surprise. He hired a limo bus to come and pick all of us up to go tour his workplace, Epic. It was so fun wandering around the incredible campus, taking portraits here and there.

When we returned, we enjoyed a few lovely videos put together by John. We also heard a few speeches. After a bit of dancing, we headed inside to open a few gifts. And then of course, it was time to play ping pong! What a lovely end to such a unique and perfect wedding day. I am so happy I was able to capture it!
