Allie + Sean's Wedding Day

This wedding day was so magical from start to finish. I originally met Allie and Sean through Allie's brother and sister-in-law, Jake and Emily. I shot their wedding back in the beginning of 2022. So I was super excited to be a part of this wedding day, and get to see some familiar faces.

I started out the day at the air bnb where the bridesmaids were staying. Allie had just begun her hair, so I got started with the details. Of course, all of the details were stunning and matched the color palate of the day perfectly. It was so fun getting to play around with each item Allie had set aside for me. Soon it was time for Allie to get dressed, but first we had to take some pj photos! Allie opted to get ready with just her mom, and then reveal to her bridesmaids after. The bridesmaids were so excited to see Allie in her gorgeous gown.

Meanwhile, my second photographer, Brianna, was at Sean's family's cabin. She started off with Sean's details, and then captured the groom + his groomsmen getting ready. After everyone was dressed, they headed out on a boat for some pretty cool groomsmen shots. After that, Allie's brothers and father stopped by the airbnb to do a first look with Allie. It was so sweet!

The bridesmaids, Allie, and I all headed to the cabin for group photos. After we finished those quickly, we ran through as many family photos as we could do without the couple seeing each other. Next, we worked on detail shots of the ceremony and reception spaces. The set up was so gorgeous: a clear tent over the reception area with string lights and chandeliers, a long wooden head table through the center filled with candles, dried oranges with name cards on every plate, unique vintage glassware, and lots of greenery.

Guests began to arrive and fill the seats at the lakeside ceremony space. Finally, it was time to begin. Allie walked down the vintage rug lined aisle with her father to Sean. Jake officiated the ceremony, and they shared their personal vows. After exchanging rings, they shared their first kiss as a married couple.

We finished up the family and wedding party photos, and then the couple wanted to head to another location for photos and have some alone time. The videographer, Laura, and I hopped into the couple's car and we drove to the hotel nearby where they would be staying that night. The second photographer, Brianna stayed behind to capture all of the cocktail hour fun. Once we returned, it was almost time for dinner to begin. The wedding party lined up for the grand entrance, and got everything started. Allie's family has a tradition where Nanners gives a blessing at each wedding, so a recording was played before we ate. It was a beautiful moment as the golden sunlight streamed in and lit up the couple through the tent.

After, we popped out to the lake for a few golden hour photos. It was such a stunning view! Next, we heard a few wonderful speeches. And then it was time to dance! Allie + her father started it out with their dance, and then Sean danced with his mother. The couple shared their dance last because they wanted everyone to join in at the end. It was a clever way to quickly fill the dance floor, and it worked! After a lot of dancing, it was time for karaoke. The couple started it off with a duet, and it was fantastic.

I am so grateful to have been a part of Allie and Sean's wedding day. I had so much fun, and it was truly, truly so beautiful. Special thanks to my second photographer, Brianna Griepentrog.
