Ethan + Jessica's Wedding Day

I was so excited to get started on this wedding day! I met up with the bride, Jessica, at the salon. She was already started getting her hair done, as were the bridesmaids. It was a calm, slow morning, and I absolutely love those kinds of days. After Jessica's make up was nearly finished, I headed over to where the groom was getting ready. Ethan was at one of his groomsmen's house, and when I arrived he had just gotten started writing down his vows. I worked with his details, and then got him dressed quickly, so we could head over to the venue.

At Olbrich Gardens, everyone took a lunch break while I photographed Jessica's details and the combined details. Then Jessica's sister helped her get into her dress. After that, it was time for the first look. The moment was full of laughter, and it was so fun getting to see these two interact. We hopped around the garden and took couple portraits. When we made our way back to the building, we started with the family photos and then the wedding party photos.

We broke for a break before the ceremony, and I headed over to the reception area to check it out, and grab a few shots of the details. It was so cool to see each of the tables had games on them for guests to enjoy. Meanwhile, guests were beginning to arrive. They worked on a crossword puzzle that was on the backside of the program, which was such a fun way to entertain the guests as others arrived. After a bit, the wedding party lined up, and it was time to begin the ceremony. The couple started out taking turns sharing their journey as a couple standing under the chuppah (hand-made by Ethan's parents), and then they read their vows. Their parents took turns reading the blessings, and then Ethan broke the glass. The couple danced the whole way back down the aisle. After a few more formal photos, Ethan and Jessica headed upstairs with their officiant to sign the ketubah.

During dinner, I was pleasantly surprised to see a few friends of mine, so I sat with them and caught up a bit. We also had Banzo for dinner, which is one of my favorites! After, we headed outside to the gardens for a few golden hour portraits before the speeches began. Jessica and Ethan's wedding party shared a few toasts, followed by some words from their parents. And then the couple cut their Kwik Trip donut (a classic!).

Jessica and Ethan kicked off the dancefloor portion of the night with their first dance as a married couple. Then each of them shared a dance with one of their parents. Shortly after, it was time for the hora, which was a ton of fun. Before I headed out for the night, I made sure to grab a photo of the couple with their matching (temporary) tattoos.

Jessica and Ethan's wedding day was so much fun. I'm so happy for these two, and glad I was able to capture their love.
