Peter + Alex's Micro-Wedding

Alex & Peter’s ceremony was absolutely magical, and I am so happy to finally share more photos from it! These two had originally planned a large celebration, but like many others this year, they chose to scale it back. After a few re-plans, they finally landed on the garden space at Westmoreland Park, which is right near their home. I think it was ultimately the perfect place!

Before the ceremony, my second photographer, Cara, and I met up with Alex at her house to capture her getting ready with her parents. We started out taking pictures of her details - their engraved rings, flowers, and hand-made invites. After that, Alex got on her stunning gown with the help of her mother. After a few pictures in the backyard, we headed to the park.

Peter was waiting at the park, getting set up when we met up with him. We grabbed a few family photos, and then it was time for the ceremony to start, so everyone got into place. Accompanied by her father and the beautiful music of a harpist, Alex made her way down the aisle to Peter. The ceremony was so sweet, and full of smiles and laughs. Each of their mothers prepared readings, which was so special. After vows and a kiss, the two were officially married!

After the ceremony, the couple had a toast to the guests that attended via livestream. Following that, we went to the capitol building and Monona Terrace for some gorgeous golden hour portraits! I followed the two back home, where they had a beautiful set up in their backyard for take-out dinner and wine with their parents. They dined & celebrated under string lights at sunset - what a perfect end to a perfect day!

Peter & Alex will be holding another celebration next year in June, and I can’t wait for them to be able to celebrate their love with all of their friends & family. I am looking forward to that day already!
