A nature-inspired summer wedding.
I met up with Kim early in the morning at her home. The girls were all buzzing around getting their hair & make up done. I grabbed Kim's dress and her details and utilized her office as a backdrop for the detail photos. Kim & her mom got matching rings, which I thought was really sweet. Soon after, the florals from daffodil*parker arrived. It was so fun seeing the ladies' reaction to them! After Kim got dressed, we headed out to a nearby park for bridesmaid photos. Then I headed over to the venue to catch Ryan finishing up getting ready. We all met up at Olbrich Gardens next for the first look.
It was such a great moment when Ryan saw Kim in her gown. Then we walked around the gardens and took couple portraits. It was a gorgeous day! Then we headed over to the venue to finish up wedding party photos before the ceremony was to begin. The floral arrangement at the arch was absolutely jaw dropping. Kim's reaction when she first saw it was so special!
Guests started to fill in after we finished up. It was finally time for the ceremony. The ceremony itself was so lovely - lots of laughs and a few happy tears. After, we worked through the family photos as the rest of the guests headed over to cocktail hour. Aldo Leopold is such a great space because they have a large outdoor balcony and trails for guests to walk. It makes for such a free-flowing cocktail hour. During dinner, we heard a few fantastic speeches. And then, instead of a dance floor, we all headed over to Muskellounge for the after party. It was such a fun change of pace!
Kim & Ryan's wedding day was such a treat to be a part of. I am so glad they chose me to capture it!
