A modern & elegant Milwaukee wedding day.

I met up with Heidi + her party at the Trade hotel right away in the morning to get started with details. My second photographer in training for the day, Madison also met up with me. We got started by hanging up Heidi's gown, and then moved on to all the other little unique things like jewelry, stationary, etc. At the same time we captured all of the hustle + bustle of getting hair + make up done.

Next we stopped over to one of the groomsmen's apartment, where Troy and the groomsmen were hanging out. Troy got dressed and ready for the first look back at the hotel. We returned to the hotel and met with Heidi for her to get into her gown. Then we set up for the first look! We took a few couple portraits around the hotel -- there were so many gorgeous spots! Then we made our way to the church for the ceremony to begin.

The ceremony itself was so lovely. After, we quickly worked through the family groupings, and then we all got onto the party bus to head to the park for wedding party portraits. It was a bit chilly so we went quickly! The fall leaves at the park were so pretty though. Then we had one more stop -- coffee! The couple wanted to grab a quick coffee from their favorite spot in town. Then we all headed over to the reception venue, Vista, for cocktail hour.

The second photographer, Madison, and I buzzed around and grabbed candids and portraits of the guests. Then we went upstairs to the dining room to capture the details. Madison headed out, but I got ready for the grand entrance of the couple as guests began to find their seats. We ate a wonderful meal, which was accompanied by some great speeches. Then it was time to move over to the dancefloor.

This day was so much fun! I am so glad that I was able to capture it. Shout out to Madison Gryttr for all her help!
