Matt + Sam's Wedding Day

Sam and Matt's wedding at the end of October was so breathtaking! The morning started off a bit drizzly, but it didn’t last-thank goodness! I met Sam and the ladies at the salon for hair & make up. As they finished, I headed over to the venue to work on detail photos. Meanwhile, Matt and his groomsmen were in the upstairs bar, hanging out and starting to get ready. Matt got his finishing touches on and the groomsmen continued to have a few beers and hang out until the portraits. Once Sam and the bridesmaids arrived, they finished setting up a few things and then got into their dresses. Sam got her gown on with the help of her little sister and mom, and after revealed her finished look to her ladies. They were so excited to see her in her dress, and she looked absolutely stunning!

Then it was time for Matt to see Sam, so we headed to the rooftop for their first look. They shared a sweet moment together before we headed to the park nearby for photos. We had some fun with the wedding party formals, but finished up quickly because it was a tad chilly! Sam and Matt and I explored the rest of the park for the bride and groom portraits after, and the fall colors were in full swing! On the way back to the venue, we made a quick pit stop at some pretty brick walls for a few more portraits. The wedding party took a break before the ceremony while I photographed all the gorgeous ceremony and reception details.

It was time for the ceremony, so everyone got lined up and ready to go. They chose to get married on the rooftop, which was such a cool space for the ceremony! Sam and Matt read each other their handwritten vows, which was so sweet (except for a dang siren going off during Matt’s!). They exchanged their rings and gave a kiss, and just like that, they were married! We took family photos right away after the ceremony with their lovely arch, and snuck in a few sunset bride and groom portraits on the rooftop after.

After cocktail hour and an eventful grand march, we all enjoyed the best dinner: pizza and pasta! We heard some touching speeches and toasts…one even including tequila shots! The couple cut the cake and served up Greenbush donuts (seriously, so cool!). Before the dances, I got a chance to mingle with friends of the bride and groom, and a past SBP couple who got married just two weeks ago, which was so, so awesome! Sam and Matt shared their first dance as a married couple and danced with their parents, and then it was time to party! They started it off with a full wedding party dance, which was so fun! And soon, everyone was on the dance floor!

Matt and Sam’s wedding was so perfect and a ton of fun, and I am so glad Sam + Andy told them about me! Thanks to their super amazing team of vendors who made their day perfect.
