An elegant and modern wedding.

When a bride tells me "I love detail photos", I get so excited! I could seriously take detail photos all day long, especially when there are so many cute items to play around with. I saw some super harsh light in the lobby, and I knew it would be perfect for all of Kirsten's black and white items and stationary. I am SO happy with how they turned out!

Once I was finished, Kirsten was finishing up her make up. When the artist handed her the mirror, her reaction was so cute. Before I headed over to the venue, we of course had to make a little champagne tower! It was so fun! Meanwhile, my second photographer, Andrew, captured the groom prep. Kirsten's tulle dress was so stunning! I found a spot to hang it on the brick at the venue. She also had a gorgeous beaded late night dress. Her mom helped her get into her dress, which was a very sweet moment for the two of them.

Once the groomsmen arrived, we got them ready for a "first look" with Kirsten. Little did they know, she was actually planning on icing them! It was a great moment. And then finally, it was time for Kirsten + Ed's first look and private vows. We got Ed into position under the beautiful tree on the river in front of the venue. It was the perfect spot. Ed's reaction to Kirsten was priceless. After a few tears, they shared their vows to each other. After a few more tears, we took couple portraits along the river. Then we grabbed the wedding party. Shortly after family portraits were done, the couple's dog, Remy arrived! He was so excited to see everyone!

The ceremony was short and sweet. The couple exchanged rings and a kiss, and then it was time for cocktail hour. I snuck out to capture all the reception details, which were all SO gorgeous. Kirsten DIY'ed a lot of it, and I am just so amazed at her talent. At the end of cocktail hour, the DJ gathered everyone for the cake cutting and the first dance. Then we headed into the reception room for speeches. At the end of dinner, we were able to step out for some golden hour photos, and the light was just pure perfection.

After some mingling, it was time to dance! And booooy this crowd brought the party! Their dancefloor was packed, and so much fun. Before I left, I did some night-time details, which was so much fun. I especially loved the little cutout of Remy's face for the photo booth :)

Kirsten and Edward had such a fun wedding day. I am so happy for them! Shout out to my second photographer, Andrew Quackenbush for all of this help and amazing photos.
