The Vendors
A downtown church ceremony.
I arrived to the church to check it out just a little before the couple was set to arrive. I've always seen Grace Episcopal anytime I was on the square because it's quite iconic with the red door and gothic look among all the newer buildings. Yarin arrived after getting her hair and make up done, ready to get into her dress. Her family helped her get dressed, and then each group did a quick prayer.
The ceremony itself was lovely. The couple lit a unity candle and exchanged rings. After the ceremony, all of their family and close friends waited on the staircase with bubbles. The couple exited the church, and it was such a fun moment. We ran through the family photos on the staircase since it was such nice weather.
Meanwhile, a parade of protesters filled the streets and the capitol lawn. It was amazing to see! We quickly went inside the capitol for portraits before closing time. Then the couple was off to their dinner at La Taguara for Venezuelan food, which was meaningful because the bride is from Venezuela. It was such a fun day, and I am so glad I was able to capture it!!
