The rehearsal dinner

Sydney & Dominic held their rehearsal dinner at the fantastic Harvey House. I arrived there a bit early to capture all of the carefully curated details. Once the couple arrived, we stepped out for a few quick couple portraits. Soon after, their guests arrived. Everyone mingled and enjoyed cocktails until dinnertime. It was a fun & exciting prelude to the wedding day!

The wedding day

The next morning I met up with the ladies at Sydney's parent's house. I gathered up her details and arranged them for a few shots. Soon after, it was time to head over to the church. Sydney got into her dress with the help of her mom and friends. Meanwhile, Dominic & his groomsmen got their boutonnieres on. Sydney did a first look with her bridesmaids and dad - each of which were so cute! Then it was time for the ceremony. It was a lovely ceremony, followed by family portraits. Then we all headed over to the capitol for couple and wedding party portraits.

The last stop was the Madison Club. It's always such a pleasure to shoot at the Madison Club because every room is absolutely gorgeous and unique -- down to the bathrooms! It's truly so beautiful. Their cocktail hour was on the second floor of the venue, along with the dinner. The sunlight pouring in that day was just absolutely gorgeous. My second photographer & I bopped around cocktail hour while the guests enjoyed appetizers & cocktails. Slowly everyone filed in to sit for dinner. Sydney had a surprise for Dominic during their grand entrance. Instead of the DJ announcing the married couple, she got Wayne of Wayne & Larry to announce them! If you don't know, he's a sportscaster for the Green Bay Packers. It was so cool!

Next we heard a few lovely speeches, enjoyed a delicious dinner, and then popped out onto the Monona Terrace for golden hour. And it was absolutely perfect! When we came back, it was time to kick off the dancing portion of the evening. The couple shared their first dance, along with a dance with their parents. Then it was time to party! But we did have to make a quick stop outside to enjoy some cigars before I left.

These two had such a fun & stunning wedding day. I am so happy I was there to capture it all!
