An cool & casual wedding day

I met Chris on campus at a gorgeous little spot overlooking the lake to wait for his bride-to-be, Lindsey to arrive. We caught up while we waited, and then finally she arrived! They took a moment to take it all in, and then they read their private vows to each other. We took a few couple and individual portraits, and then we travelled over to the ceremony space at Hoyt Park.

Friends & family began to arrive to the ceremony. At that point, it was still sunny out! But slowly, the clouds came in. The ceremony was officiated by the bride's brother, and it was so lovely. They each shared what they love about each other and a few more promises. After their first kiss, they walked back down the aisle as everyone tossed petals. It was absolutely breathtaking. We quickly got started on family portraits and it began to rain, so we finished up and headed to the reception venue to finish up. We had a little time before cocktail hour was set to begin, so we got to wander around the Wisconsin Historical Society and take lots of couple portraits. It was so much fun!

After the couple got some time to mingle at cocktail hour, we had one more item on our photo list: the Memorial Union. Finally, the rain let up for a bit, so we snuck over for a few more portraits. When we returned, it was time for their entrance into dinner. We had the most delicious food -- Soho! And for dessert, my absolute favorite donuts from Level 5.

The couple opened up the dancefloor with their first dance as a married couple, followed by Lindsey's dance with her father. Then we all danced the night away!

Chris & Lindsey's wedding was so relaxed and fun. It was absolutely perfect!
