A fun & relaxed wedding day.
Allie + Teagan's wedding day was a really special day. I actually went to high school with Teagan, so it was such an honor when she and her fiancée reached out to me about photographing their day! Their wedding day was intentionally laid back, and I absolutely loved the whole vibe of the day. This was evident as soon as I arrived -- the two were getting ready together with each of their moms. While they finished hair + make up, I worked on their details in the reception space. Soon after, Teagan got dressed first with the help of her mom and step dad. Then Allie got into her dress with the help of her mom.
The two got into position for the first look, meanwhile their nieces and nephews peeked through the window. It was so incredibly cute! We hopped right into family photos, and shortly after it was time for the ceremony to begin. We made our way over to the Ironworks building, where guests had already begun to sit down. First down the aisle were the ring bearers, and then the flower girl followed. Teagan walked down the aisle accompanied by her mother and father, and then Allie had her turn with her mother and father down the aisle. When they finally joined hands at the front, it was magic! They each shared their vows, and then exchanged rings. After a kiss, they walked back down the aisle but this time together, as wives!
The looming storm seemingly missed Madison completely, which was such a relief. We were able to take couple portraits while the guests headed over to the Brassworks building for cocktail hour. We joined in shortly after. Allie + Teagan's custom cocktails were an Old Fashioned and a Moscow Mule -- two delicious classics! The cocktail napkins included an adorable drawing of their two pups, Tika and Emmy, which I absolutely loved. Another thing I loved was their favors, which were scratch offs. Such a fun idea for their guests!
Guests began to sit for dinner, and then we all had a delicious meal proved by North & South. Each of their siblings shared a speech, which were all so fun to hear. Next, the two kicked off the dancing portion of the evening with their first dance as a married couple. Then they shared a joint dance with each of their fathers. And then, they danced the night away!
I am so glad I got to be a part of this beautiful wedding day. I am so happy for them!
