Allison + Nathan's Engagement Session

I had never been to Horicon Marsh before, so I arrived a little early to get a lay of the land. It was a chilly afternoon, but almost magically, the wind stopped only a few minutes into their session, and it felt so much better for the rest of the evening! We hiked up the trail back into the woods, and lucked out with some beautiful fall color on the trees. After that, we hiked back towards the main area where we found a cute barn to work with.

Getting to know Allison and Nathan during their session was such a treat. It is always so awesome when couples bring their own touch to a session, and these two brought along a crossword puzzle. Working on a puzzle together was not only authentic to them, but it made for some really cute photos! After some more hiking around, we decided to drive over to another area of the park where there are some boardwalks. I am so glad we did, because I think the board walk photos are some of my favorites from the session.

I am so excited for these two to get married in the spring! They will be celebrating at one of my favorite wedding venues (which is near where I grew up), and I can't wait!
