Hi there, I’m Sara! I’m a wedding + portrait photographer based out of Madison, Wisconsin.

I have always had a love for photographing people, and I am thrilled to be a part of so many precious moments from engagements to weddings to family milestones. I love every moment of my job, creating something special that you and your family can cherish forever.

Since childhood I have been an art creator and a photo taker. I used to fill up my dresser drawers with drawings and computer hard-drives with photos of flowers and frogs. By the time I was in high school, I got my hands on a fancy camera and was always convincing my sister and friends to model. I spent time in college as a school picture day photographer and doing various freelance photography jobs. I attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison where I studied what I think of as the perfect major for me, Communication Arts. I learned the art of telling stories - so naturally I found my niche as an artist telling love stories. I still live in the Madison area, and I absolutely love this city. I have always been drawn to its people, food, markets, music, and bike paths. But as much as I love Madison, I’m always down to travel and try something new.

Ever since my very first wedding 5+ years ago, I haven’t looked back. I absolutely adore everything about weddings and being surrounded by love and happiness. Weddings are such unique, fun, and collaborative events. But what I love the most is that weddings are truly the most special day of your life. You can count on me to be there - start to finish. I understand the importance of documenting your day, and realize all of the hard-work and planning that you’ve put into it. For that, I am always flexible and prepared for whatever happens. I’m ready for it all, so you can relax and enjoy the moments. From those fleeting candid moments to setting up creative, unique shots, I do it all. As a photographer, my job is to not just document your day or moment, but to tell your love story. So no matter what your story is - you deserve to have it captured and told!

When I’m not photographing, I enjoy spending time with my partner, Dakota, and my pup, Phoebe, cooking/making messes in the kitchen, movies and television, board games or bingo (I’m seriously so competitive!!), and traveling (or watching endless travel vlogs on YouTube). Here are a few photos of me, photos I've taken, and places I've been:

Special thanks to Erik Weiss Photography for the shots of me during wedding days and Cara Ann Photography for the photos of Dakota, Phoebe, and me!

You've heard my story,

let's hear yours!
